Based on the research on 321 senior high school students through literature consultation, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics, this thesis draws the conclusion that the single duration, frequency and persistent length of physical exercises are the three dimensional factors which impacts the mental health of middle school students. There are significant differences in the basic situation of girls and boys in sports, and boys are more active than girls; The sports time has certain influence in most factors except for the mental disease, and especially reasonable physical exercise time (31-60min) can significantly relieve the degree of depression; The frequency of the physical exercise can have a great influence in somatization, interpersonal relationships and the degree of depression; The students with different exercise span have significant differences in oppressive feeling, loneliness tendency (depression), emotional instability (anxiety) and other factors, the students taking exercise for about 6 to 9 years are less prone to feel lonely, and those taking exercise for 9 years have stronger self-control ability, they don't feel oppressed easily or even have psychological problems; The forms of physical exercises have significant influence on and apparent interactions with the level of mental health. Accordingly, it is suggested that schools should carry out extensive health education to advocate among students the good habit of physical exercises, which should be taken 3-4 times per week for duration of 30-60 minutes each time.
