Using social exchange theory and the social constructivist theory of emotion, I examined the relationship between supervisors' paternalistic leadership and college English teachers' teaching efficacy in China, as well as the roles emotional creativity and professional identity played in this relationship. Participants were 674 teachers of English at 30 colleges in China. Results of factor and correlation analyses, structural equation modeling, and regression analysis revealed that supervisors' paternalistic leadership had significantly positive effects on teachers' teaching efficacy, and that teachers' professional identity had a meditating effect in the relationship between paternalistic leadership and teaching efficacy. In addition, teachers' emotional creativity positively moderated the relationship between supervisors' paternalistic leadership and teachers' teaching efficacy, and emotional creativity acted as a mediated moderator of the link between these two variables. My findings contribute to comprehension of the effect mechanism of supervisors' paternalistic leadership on teachers' teaching efficacy.
In this work, we engineered the α/β fold of mannanase Man23 based on its molecular structure analysis to obtain more stable variants. By introducing 31 single-site mutations in the α/β fold and shuffling them, the incorporation of four mutations (K178R, K207R, N340R, and S354R) displayed a good balance between high activity and stability at higher temperature and broader pH. This quartet variant was characterized by an almost threefold increased activity and a sevenfold increased stability compared to native mannanase Man23. Our results suggest that such work is safe to increase our target protein stability with no loss of activity.
A series of novel water soluble quinoline derivatives 1a∼1d were synthesized from 8-hydroxyquinoline and the fluorescence of these compouds had been quenched by Cu2+ or Fe3+ in absolute water. It was seen that the fluorescence of 1a was quenched by 93% with addition of 50 μM of Cu2+ in absolute water and 75% in the presence of 50 μM of Fe3+ with the quenching ratio (Cu2+ :Fe3+) of 1:0.80, showing much higher sensitivity and selectivity of Cu2+ to Fe3+. In addition, the presence of some other metal ions such as K+, Ca2+, Zn2+, Al3+, Mn2+, Fe2+, Ba2+, Co2+, Ni+, Cr3+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Sn2+, Na+ and Mg2+ had little influence on the selectivity and sensitivity of Cu2+. The easily availabe 1a could be considered a potential fluorescence sensor for Cu2+.

Based on analyzing the traditional template matching algorithm, this paper identified the key factors restricting the speed of matching and put forward a brand new fast matching algorithm based on projection. Projecting the grayscale image, this algorithm converts the two-dimensional information of the image into one-dimensional one, and then matches and identifies through one-dimensional correlation, meanwhile, because of normalization has been done, when the image brightness or signal amplitude increasing in proportion, it could also perform correct matching. Experimental results show that the projection characteristics based image registration method proposed in this article could greatly improve the matching speed, which ensuring the matching accuracy as well.
